A young company at the summit of technology

The eID Company SA is a Belgian company offering high technology solutions applied in transactions based on electronic identity (signing, identication, authentication, remote voting,…), while being user-friendly and simple to use.

"eID" means "electronic IDentity" and covers all possible forms of electronic identity (like the Belgian electronic ID card).

The eID Company is a service company. These services may consist of one or more products.

A young company founded by experienced engineers

The company was founded in 2007 by Olivier Libon, Yüksel Balci and Hugues Dorchy. The team was in charge of the National Identity card project at the Ministry of New Technologies of the Belgian federal government. The three engineers were reponsible for the card's architectural structure, the PKI infrastructure, software and services, and the technical evolution program of the Belgian ID card… of which more than 10 million have been produced !
The team boasts more than 30 years of experience in the fields of IT, telecom, design and management of infrastructures and certificats (PKI), authentication solutions and electronic signature. It has a solid experience in designing solutions for the use of chip cards, like eID authentication services in online "e-government" (Tax-On-Web, Police-On-Line, etc).

Thanks to the expertise and broad experience of its staff, the company is also active in several Research & Development projects (Brussels Captal Region, Walloon Region, Europe) and standardization groups (ETSI, ISO, etc) in its specific field of competence.

A solid and stable financial situation

The eID Company (originally a sprl) was created exclusively with private funds of the three founding members. A major raise of capital was done in 2009 to enable the company's growth plans to ensure its financial stability. At present, The eID Company is still owned exclusively by the three founding members.

Ambitious and results-driven

Since 2008, the company is profitable and the positive results were confirmed in 2009, notwithstanding the major crisis affecting all sectors of economy.

Early 2010 saw the first international contracts signed, leading the way to a European business development. The head office is located in Brussels, at the heart of Europe, with two other operational offices in Brussels and Wallonia.
